The Ardmore Initiative staff has been extremely helpful in making me feel welcome, connecting me with the right people, and telling me about grant resources. The Facade Grant helped me pay for my signage, and the Business Assistance Grant will help my business grow quicker than I originally thought possible.

Financial Assistance

One of the many ways Ardmore Initiative helps business and property owners find success in Downtown Ardmore is through financial assistance. Ardmore Initiative currently administers two grant programs, the Business Assistance Grant and Facade Improvement Grant.

Business Assistance Grant
The Business Assistance Grant gives retail or restaurant owners opening or expanding within Ardmore Business District up to $25,000 in grant money. This program is made possible by federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds obtained by Lower Merion Township. Grant recipients must commit to creating jobs for low- to moderate-income persons. Contact Ardmore Initiative to learn more.

Facade Improvement Grant
The Facade Improvement Grant awards 50/50 matching grants of up to $5,000 to conduct facade improvements on commercial properties in Ardmore Business District. Eligible improvements include signage, awnings, lighting, and painting. The Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development funds the Facade Improvement Grant Program. View the guidelines and application.  Contact Ardmore Initiative to learn more.
